I watched MasterChef Monday and aside from Gordon Ramsey’s crazy yelling I think the only thing I go out of it was I needed a blueberry pie. So today you have 2 recipes. A regular blueberry pie and mini me’s.
So I asked my co-workers what type of cupcakes would they like for valentines day and one replied facetiously “How about human tears?” Well, I never turn down a challenge so here we are Forever Alone Cupcakes (or a brown sugar cupcake with vanilla buttercream and salty caramel sauce)
I got some left over champagne so I figured I make some cookies. So I decided to modify my favorite sugar cookie recipe, which I’m sure you’ll see me put up one day, by removing the eggs and adding a cup of champagne. Which 1 makes the dough fun to eat (I hate the idea of eating raw eggs) and 2 really yummy cookies.
Now to be noted while making the dough I broke a wine glass which shattered all over the kitchen. So I had to throw out the dough. Eating glass is not cool people! If you break glass in the kitchen an you had food near the vicinity throw it out, its better safe than sorry. Anyways on wards with the cookies.
For my company’s holiday potluck I decided to do some other folks recipes.
Mini Steak Sandwiches with Mustard-Horseradish Sauce
I made Mini Steak Sandwiches with Mustard-Horseradish Sauce an adaption of a recipe from My Recipes. Beef tenderloin was too pricey for me I bought a 1 lb top sirloin, pan seared it and sliced it thinly to stretch the recipe out make 25 servings. My local Publix also did not sell watercress so I substituted it with arugula.
